Survival Courses for School Groups
Young people rarely experience serious challenges in their everyday lives. Challenges which allow them to find out how well they work under pressure, where their loyalties lie and what working in a team can mean in extreme situations. Given the opportunity to really test themselves; young people of all ages will take on that challenge and surprise both themselves and you. If your school is looking to develop your pupils, broaden their experiences and create a real sense of achievement this is the course for you.

This is so much more than any trust exercise ever run for schools before, led by people who have been in these situations for real, where people’s lives were in their hands, and where real life experience created the kind of strong characters you would want to be stranded with.
Students will be trained, in an age appropriate manner, in a wide range of survival techniques for example, building a shelter, using a compass and working as a cohesive team. Scenarios will be set to maximise the training they have received i.e. being stranded in a jungle with no food or communication devices. Located in woodland they will be put down in the woodland and required to find their way to meeting points utilising their newly acquired skills.
Students completing these courses can go on to be confident leaders, strong team players, and more confident people which have a better idea of what it takes to work with others to achieve a shared goal. If your school is looking to produce young people with these characteristics we can help you achieve it.
